Skills for Life and Work

Bryson's Skills for Life and Work programme gives 16/17 year olds the opportunity to gain work experience in a chosen occupation whilst training for a nationally recognised qualification in that chosen career.

Skills for Life and Work

Skills for Life and Work will help you to achieve targeted qualifications in each of the areas outlined below:​

  • Personal and Social Development
  • Employability Skills
  • Professional and Technical Skills
  • Essential Skills in Numeracy, Literacy and ICT

In addition you will receive work experience based on your needs and the opportunity to experience different workplaces and decide what sort of work suits you best.

You can undertake vocational training in any of the following professional and technical areas:

  • Catering
  • Childcare Learning and Development
  • Bricklaying
  • Joinery
  • Business Administration
  • Hairdressing
  • IT For Users
  • Playwork
  • Retail
  • Health and Social Care
